Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new invitation round under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw held on July 27, 2023, saw LAAs being issued to 609 candidates under all three MPNP streams i.e., Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas. Invited candidates required minimum CRS scores between 614 and 717 - to be eligible for this invitation round.
This was the sixth EOI draw conducted by Manitoba in July.

Occupation-specific selection
Profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba, in occupations identified with high labor needs were considered.
The occupations under the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 were considered in this draw:
All occupations
All profiles that were not selected in the occupation-specific selection were considered.
Profiles that declared meeting International Education Stream eligibility requirements.
Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Of the 609 LAAs issued in this draw, 106 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The July 27th EOI draw is also a continuation of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducting draws with higher ITAs and lower CRS scores. The back-to-back invitation rounds being conducted by Manitoba, clearly indicate that the province seeks to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive a provincial nomination under its MPNP-managed streams.

The Skilled Worker pathway, which includes both “Skilled Worker Overseas” and "Skilled Workers in Manitoba” streams, is locally driven and based on the needs of Manitoba employers. Through this stream, MPNP selects internationally trained and experienced workers who have the skills needed in the local labor market - and nominates them to receive Canada PR visas to settle and work in the province.
Whereas, the International Education Stream (IES) provides international students graduating from designated Manitoba post-secondary institutions a faster pathway to nomination. There are three pathways: the Career Employment Pathway, the Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP).
The MPNP invites the highest-scoring candidates in the pool to submit a full application to the MPNP on a regular basis. MPNP draws are usually held on a bi-weekly basis - with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the next draws are determined by the needs of the MPNP application inventory.
