New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) conducted a new invitation round for Express Entry candidates in June 2023.

The New Brunswick latest draw held in July 2023, saw ITAs being issued to a total of 121 candidates under all three NBPNP Express Entry streams i.e., NB Employment Connection, NB Student Connection, and NB Occupations in Demand Connection.

NBPNP frequently searches IRCC’s Express Entry pool to find candidates that meet the criteria of one of New Brunswick PNP’s streams. The previous NB Express Entry stream draw was conducted in May, which issued a total of 93 invitations to eligible candidates in the federal Express Entry pool. Here are the details of the latest invitation round.

New Brunswick Latest Draw Invitations - June

  • New Brunswick Employment Connection: 28 Invitations
  • New Brunswick Student Connection: 64 Invitations
  • New Brunswick Occupations in Demand Connection: 29 Invitations

The size & frequency of the draws is determined by the NBPNP’s application backlog at that time. NBPNP draws are usually held on a monthly basis - with some exceptions. The next New Brunswick draw dates are not posted before they occur.

Immigrate to New Brunswick: Check Your Eligibility

If you receive an ITA, you have 45 days to submit a complete application to the NBPNP. If your application is approved, you will be nominated by the province to apply for Canada PR. You will have 30 days to accept the nomination in your Federal Express Entry account.

NB Express Entry Eligibility

There are requirements for each stage of the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream process including registration, EOI, application, and final decision. All candidates invited must meet the eligibility requirements of the program. Generally, to be eligible to apply under the NB Express Entry stream, you must:

  • Submit an Express Entry Profile that has a valid Federal Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Seeker Validation Code.
  • Currently live and work in New Brunswick, and have a letter of employment from the employer.
  • Have your current employment in a position that matches NOC Level 0, A, or B (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).
  • Have a valid Canadian Work Permit.
  • Have valid language test scores (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF Canada) with scores equivalent to CLB 7 in all four language competencies.
  • Have a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) which attests to the minimum equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma.

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) provides excellent opportunities for immigrants to obtain Canadian permanent residency - and contribute to the economic development of the province. The NBPNP operates through several streams, each with its own set of requirements and criteria. The streams include Express Entry Labor Market Stream, Skilled Worker Employer Support Stream, Entrepreneurial Stream, Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream, and Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.

Being the most competitive pathway among the five streams, it is important that you carefully review the requirements of the NB Express Entry and submit a complete and accurate application to enhance your chances of success in receiving a provincial nomination.
