The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NB PNP) has finally conducted a new draw.
This draw came after a pause of almost 18 months. The previous invitation rounds were conducted back in September 2023. New Brunswick has been adjusting its 2025 provincial economic immigration programs and pathways because of overall changes to Canada’s immigration system.
If you’ve been invited to this New Brunswick PNP latest draw, you must submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) under the stream specified in your invitation - typically 45 days. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.
The New Brunswick PNP latest draw was held on March 05 and March 06, 2025. A total of 498 candidates from NB PNP’s Skilled Worker Stream were issued invitations.
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed for foreign nationals who have a job offer in New Brunswick and have the skills, education, and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy. The Skilled Worker Stream has changed from the previous year and is now comprised of three separate pathways:
In addition to this, the province is not considering occupations that fall under the following NOCs:
The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NB PNP) uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to manage the intake of immigration applications. The first step to apply through the NB PNP is to submit an EOI in the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) portal. Submissions to the Skilled Worker stream are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis. EOIs submitted through INB are placed in a pool and remain valid for 365 days.
The INB will review these EOIs and issue invitations based on provincial labour market needs, available allocation, and other factors and priorities determined by the Government of New Brunswick. However, remember that meeting the eligibility criteria for an NB PNP stream does not guarantee that you will be invited to apply.
After receiving a nomination certificate from INB, you can apply for Canada PR through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) under the provincial nominee program (non-Express Entry) - as long as you submit your application before the certificate expires.
