The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream is designed for candidates with business ownership or senior management experience. They must live in Nova Scotia and – either buy an existing business or start a new business, and actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.

Candidates eligible under this stream are first issued a temporary work permit before they can apply for Canada PR – after obtaining the business for at least 1 year. The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) format, where candidates in the pool are invited to apply.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be aged 21 or older.
  • Intend to live permanently in Nova Scotia while owning and actively managing a business.
  • Have a minimum net worth of $600,000.

Who is eligible for Nova Scotia’s International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream?

Similar to the Entrepreneur Stream, the Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is aimed at recent graduates from a university/college in the province. Also, candidates must have started or purchased a Nova Scotia business – and operated it for a year on a Post Graduate Work Permit.

Candidates are nominated to apply for Canada PR if they intend to settle in Nova Scotia. This stream all uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) format, similar to that of the Entrepreneur Stream.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Intend to live permanently in Nova Scotia while owning and actively managing a business.
