The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has been launched by the Ontario province.
This route was created to add a skilled trade worker stream with work experience in a qualified trade occupation. This stream is for those who wish to immigrate to Canada.
Here are the steps to apply for the Ontario Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream
Step 1 - Create a profile in the IRCC Canada Express Entry system
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has been launched by the Ontario province.
Before NOI is even issued, you need to create a profile in IRCC’s Express Entry System.
But before the profile creation, you need:
Your wish to immigrate to the Canadian province of Ontario should be shown during profile creation. You can do this by choosing Ontario or All Provinces and Territories.
Give accurate information in this EE profile of Ontario. In case the data given is false, your application can be refused or lead to nomination removal.
Step 2 – Issuance of Notification of Interest and How to Apply
Once you have created your Express Entry profile and are invited to apply, you get a NOI in your IRCC online account. This is for an online application submission to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
You need to show that you comply with all the stream requirements in the application submission. Upon getting an NOI you must apply within 45 calendar days from the date you are issued the notification.
Step 3 – After you have applied to OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream
Upon completion of your application submission, you get an email to confirm whether you got it. Application status can be checked via your account in the OINP e-Filing Portal whenever you want.
If you are nominated for the OINP's Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream, your next step will be to apply to the federal government through IRCC. They make the final decision on who becomes a Canadian permanent resident.
