Ontario’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream

The French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream aligned with Canada’s federal Express Entry system. Candidates who are successfully nominated under this human capital stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) - are invited to submit an official application to apply for Canada PR.

Candidates are required to have an active profile in one of the following two Express Entry programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

The FSSW is by invitation only and foreign nationals cannot apply to the program directly. Candidates in the Express Entry pool are automatically considered for the program when they submit their Express Entry profile. Ontario will then send a Notification of Interest (NOI) to the Express Entry accounts of those candidates it invites to apply.
