About Ontario Immigrant Nominee Tech draw

Tech draws, which are a part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), offer opportunities to applicants that fit the Human Capital Priorities Stream. The goal is to find tech-savvy applicants in the Express Entry pool of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The OINP selects candidates for this draw from the Express Entry pool who may:

  • the Human Capital Priorities Stream's requirements
  • possess professional experience in a particular National Occupational Classification (NOC) code

You will get a Notification of Interest (NOI) on your IRCC online account if OINP finds you in the pool. Receiving a NOI does not guarantee that you will be accepted into one of our streams. It is your responsibility to check the programs guidelines to make sure you qualify.

The province is interacting with stakeholders across the province through a survey and in-person consultations to make sure that this project fulfils the needs of Ontario companies. This aids in the selection of top jobs for the targeted technology jobs draws.

Ontario PNP additionally meets employer priorities through targeted priority occupation draws for non-tech priority occupations in addition to these tech draws. Employers provide comments on their existing hiring procedures and labour needs, including their requirements for particular IT skills and jobs.
