On September 7, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a new draw – inviting 1,521 candidates in the Skilled Trade Stream category.
The OINP issued targeted Notification of Interest (NOI) to candidates who may qualify for Express Entry’s Skilled Trades stream. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required in this targeted draw was 320. Candidates with a CRS score of 320 or above received NOIs in the September 7 draw.
Candidates issued NOIs were required to have employment experience in the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes mentioned on the latest Ontario occupation in demand list:
7201 – Contractors and supervisors, machining, metal forming, shaping and erecting trades and related occupations
7202 – Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades, and telecommunications occupations
7203 – Contractors and supervisors, pipefitting trades
7204 – Contractors and supervisors, carpentry trades
7205 – Contractors and supervisors, other construction trades, installers, repairers, and services
7231 – Machinists and machining and tooling inspectors
7232 – Tool and die makers
7233 – Sheet metal workers
7234 – Boilermakers
7235 – Structural metal and plate work fabricators and fitters
7236 – Ironworkers
7237 – Welders and related machine operators
7241 – Electricians (except for industrial and power systems)
7242 – Industrial electricians
7243 – Power system electricians
7244 – Electrical power line and cable workers
7245 – Telecommunications line and cable workers
7246 – Telecommunications installation and repair workers
7247 – Cable television service and maintenance technicians

The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) generally holds a draw on a monthly basis (with some exceptions) and issues ITAs to the highest-scoring candidates, allowing them to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
The OINP recognizes and nominates people for permanent residence who have the skills and experience the Ontario economy needs, and the Government of Canada makes the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence.
