The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. The program frequently searches the federal Express Entry pool to identify candidates who may meet the criteria of one of OINP’s Express Entry streams.
If you have been invited in this latest Ontario PNP draw, you will receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) in your Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) online account.
The latest Ontario PNP draw held on July 25, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 209 candidates under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream. Invited candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 395-444 and work experience in NOC 31102 (General Practitioner and Family Physician).

Receiving an NOI does not mean that you qualify for one of the Ontario PNP streams. After you receive an NOI, you must submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR). To apply:
This must be done within 45 days of receiving the NOI.
Ontario's Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream is a key pathway for skilled workers looking to live and work in Ontario, Canada. Part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the HCP Stream helps the province meet labour market needs by targeting individuals with the necessary skills and experience.
To be eligible, candidates must first create an Express Entry profile with the federal government. The HCP Stream selects candidates from the Express Entry pool who meet specific criteria, such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency in English or French.
This stream is particularly attractive for those in high-demand occupations.
Applicants who receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario can then apply to the OINP. If nominated, they earn an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, significantly boosting their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency from the federal government.
Ontario PNP’s HCP Stream also prioritizes candidates with ties to the province, such as previous work or study experience in Ontario, or a job offer from an Ontario employer. This focus ensures that nominees are well-suited to integrate into the local labour market and community.
Currently, 80% of applications under the OINP are processed within 8 to 10 months.
