The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (Ontario PNP or OINP) has conducted a new draw. This was the second invitation round conducted by the province in October. The previous OINP draw was held on October 08 - for candidates under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream.
Today, candidates from OINP’s Skilled Trades Stream were invited. If you have been invited in this Ontario PNP latest draw, you will have 45 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the OINP. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.
The Ontario PNP latest draw was held on October 17, 2024. A total of 1,307 candidates from OINP’s Skilled Trades Stream were invited.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Skilled Trades Stream is designed to help skilled workers in specific trades become permanent residents of Canada. This stream is part of Ontario's Express Entry system and is aimed at individuals who have experience in certain in-demand trades within the province.
To qualify, applicants need to be living in Ontario and have a valid work permit. They must have at least one year of full-time work experience (or the equivalent in part-time) in an eligible skilled trade within Ontario, in the last two years. These trades are typically found in the construction, industrial, electrical, and agricultural sectors.
Applicants also need to meet language requirements, scoring a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English or French. In addition, they should have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
What makes this stream attractive is that it targets skilled workers in trades that are in high demand in Ontario. If you receive a provincial nomination through this stream, you will earn an additional 600 points toward your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, almost guaranteeing an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
