So far in 2024, Ontario PNP has invited 2,714 candidates under the Masters Graduate Stream and 229 candidates under the PhD Graduate Stream.
If you did not receive an invitation in this round - do not withdraw your application or create a new one. Your profile is valid for 12 months in the OINP pool of candidates. You may be invited in the next Ontario PNP draw. Ontario PNP draws are held on a bi-weekly basis - with some exceptions. The date of the draw, stream targeted, number of invitations to be issued, and the minimum score range are not published beforehand.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select candidates who may meet the eligibility criteria for one of the immigration streams managed under Ontario PNP.
Candidates are ranked in the pool based on factors mentioned in the Ontario PNP points calculators. Factors such as Age, Language Proficiency, Education, Work Experience, and Job Offer, play a pivotal role in determining your eligibility for getting nominated in an invitation round. The higher your score, the more are your chances.
These are just the base streams, the OINP also manages certain enhanced PNP streams that are linked with the federal Express Entry system.
In 2023, Ontario invited a total of 43,270 candidates under both the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program and Express Entry linked streams. The same trend of issuing high invitations with low scores is expected to be carried out in 2024 as well.
