The OINP consists of three Express Entry streams:
Although draws are being regularly conducted through the OINP streams, the Express Entry linked streams draws have been paused since March. The last OINP Express Entry stream was held on March 21, which was for candidates under the Human Capital Priorities stream.
The Ontario PNP latest draw was held on June 20, 2024. A total of 212 candidates from OINP Express Entry’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream were invited.

Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream is a program designed to attract French-speaking skilled workers to Ontario, Canada. This stream is part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), which helps the province meet its labour market needs. It aims to boost Ontario’s Francophone community and fill skilled job vacancies, promoting a diverse and bilingual workforce in the province.
To be eligible for this stream, you must first qualify for the federal Express Entry system, specifically under the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Canadian Experience Class. Applicants need to demonstrate strong French language skills (at least a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 7 in French) and intermediate English skills (minimum CLB 6).
In addition to language requirements, you must have a valid Express Entry profile, meet work experience criteria, and have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family members. An educational credential assessment (ECA) is also needed if your education was completed outside Canada.
The process begins by creating an Express Entry profile and indicating your interest in Ontario. If you are selected, you will receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario. Once you receive an NOI, you can apply online to the OINP within 45 days.
