Prince Edward Island has conducted a new draw under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
The Prince Edward Island latest draw held on February 29, saw invitations being issued to 24 candidates under Labour & Express Entry stream. Candidates with work experience in the Healthcare and Construction sectors were invited.
No Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs were issued in the draw.
The PEI EOI system gathers important information about candidates in the pool to rank and select those who are most likely to meet Prince Edward Island’s economic and labour market needs, based on one or more of the following attributes:
Candidates invited to apply in this draw will receive an email notification that will include their file number and instructions for submission of the complete application to the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
This draw is in line with the PEI PNP draw schedule for 2024. PEI is the only Canadian province that makes its draw schedule public in advance. We can expect 23 PEI PNP draws in 2024.
In 2023, Prince Edward Island PNP issued 2,422 invitations across 22 draws. The back-to-back EOI draws serve as a testament to PEI’s commitment to prioritising foreign skilled workers and businessmen with the necessary skills, qualifications, and potential to succeed in the province’s dynamic economy.
The same trend is expected to be carried out in 2024 as well.

Subsequently, you will be assigned a score, based on the details provided in your EOI profile. PEI then conducts an EOI draw, in which it sets the number of invitations to be issued, the category to be targeted - and the minimum cut-off score. If you’re selected, you will be issued an invitation to apply for permanent residency.
