Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the second invitation round conducted by the province in 2025. This draw inlines with the recently announced PEI PNP draw schedule for 2025.
However, the first PEI PNP draw of 2025, which was conducted on January 24, was not part of the announced draw schedule. Prince Edward Island is the only province in Canada that makes its draw schedule public. In 2025, we can expect 11 PEI PNP draws.
The PEI PNP latest draw was held on February 20, 2025. A total of 87 candidates from PEI’s Labour and Express Entry stream were invited to apply for permanent residence (PR).
Invitations were issued to individuals working in occupations and priority sectors based on economic impact in Prince Edward Island. The focus was on people working and living in Prince Edward Island for a minimum of one year. In addition, international graduates from UPEI, Holland College and Collège de l'Île, were prioritized in the invitations.
If you have been invited to this latest PEI PNP draw, you will receive an email with your file number and instructions for submitting your application. At this stage, you will need to complete the required application forms, and your employer must fill out the employer forms.
Selection Factors
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) Labour & Express Entry Stream helps skilled workers and Express Entry candidates apply for Canada PR.
The Labour Stream is for people who have a job offer from a PEI employer. It includes three categories: Skilled Workers, Critical Workers, and International Graduates. Candidates must have relevant work experience, meet language requirements, and plan to live in PEI.
On the other hand, the Express Entry Stream is for candidates with a valid Express Entry profile. If nominated by PEI, they get 600 extra CRS points, increasing their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR.
Both streams help PEI attract workers in high-demand jobs. To apply, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and meet eligibility criteria. If selected, they receive a provincial nomination, making it easier to get Canadian PR.
