The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in October.

If you're invited to apply in the PEI PNP latest draw, you'll receive an email with your file number and instructions for submitting your application. You'll need to complete the required application forms, and your employer must fill out the employer forms.

PEI PNP Latest Draw - Results

The PEI PNP latest draw was held on October 28, 2024. A total of 91 candidates from both the Business Work Permit and the Labour & Express Entry streams were invited to apply for permanent residence (PR).

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued 21 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates and 1,216 invitations to Labour & Express Entry candidates.

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations over the last 12 months: 2%
• Labor & Express Entry invitations over the last 12 months: 98%

How do PEI PNP draws work?

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) draws are held to invite candidates to apply for provincial nomination, which can boost their chances of getting Canadian permanent residency. PEI conducts these draws typically once a month, selecting candidates from three main streams: Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact.

• Express Entry and Labour Impact Streams: These streams target skilled workers who meet PEI’s labour needs. In each draw, candidates with high scores based on PEI’s points grid are invited to apply. Points consider factors like age, education, work experience, and adaptability.

• Business Impact Stream: PEI also selects entrepreneurs interested in starting or investing in a business in the province. Business candidates need to meet specific criteria, such as net worth and management experience.

Candidates who receive an invitation through PEI PNP draws can then submit a full application for nomination. A provincial nomination can add 600 points to the Express Entry score, significantly increasing the likelihood of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
