Quebec's Ministry of Immigration, Frenchisation, and Integration (MIFI) conducts invitation rounds on a bi-weekly basis. Candidates whose profiles correspond to Quebec’s needs and application inventory - and have good potential for integration are invited to apply for permanent selection.
Profiles are evaluated based on the selection grid criteria used by the Quebec government to assess their eligibility for Quebec RSWP. This includes factors such as Education, Work Experience, Age, Language Proficiency in French and/or English, and other criteria that are specific to the Quebec RSWP.
The application process for the RSWP involves several steps, including creating an online account, submitting documents, and attending an interview if required. Successful applicants and their families are then granted a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), which allows them to apply for a Canada PR visa.
In 2023, Quebec conducted 16 RSWP draws that invited a total of 17,408 candidates. The latest draw is a continuation of Quebec issuing high invites with low scores. The back-to-back draws also indicate that the province seeks to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive an invitation under Quebec immigration streams for the upcoming draws.
