The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) allows skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates to immigrate to British Columbia. Through BC PNP, applicants can receive a nomination for permanent residence, which fast-tracks their application process.
The program has several streams, including the Skills Immigration stream for workers and graduates, the Express Entry BC stream for candidates already in the federal Express Entry system, and the Entrepreneur Immigration stream for business owners and investors.
Applicants are selected based on factors like work experience, education, and job offers in BC. After receiving a provincial nomination, applicants can apply for permanent residency through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
