Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new draw. This was the second Express Entry draw of the week conducted by the department. Just yesterday, IRCC welcomed 648 candidates to apply for PR - across a PNP-specific draw.

Today’s draw marks the fifth Express Entry draw of the month. If you have been invited to this Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will no longer be valid.

Express Entry Latest Draw - Results

The Express Entry latest draw was held on October 22, 2024. A total of 400 candidates from Express Entry’s Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream were invited to apply for PR. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 539 to be eligible for an ITA.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Draws

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a key category under the Express Entry Program, designed specifically for people with Canadian work experience who want to become permanent residents. If you've worked in Canada for at least one year in a skilled job, CEC can be your pathway to PR. You don’t need a job offer or to show proof of funds, as long as you’re already working in Canada.

CEC draws happen regularly, where candidates are invited to apply based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score is determined by factors like age, education, work experience, and language skills. CEC candidates tend to have lower minimum CRS scores in some draws, making it easier to receive an invitation compared to other categories.

If you meet the eligibility criteria and have a competitive CRS score, getting an invitation to apply (ITA) is possible through these draws. Once you receive an ITA, you can submit your application for PR, and in most cases, it’s processed within six months.

CEC is a fast and efficient way to gain permanent residency in Canada, especially if you’ve already built your life and career there!
