The latest BC PNP draw was held on August 20, 2024. A total of 156 candidates were invited across a Skills Immigration draw. Candidates with work experience in in-demand occupations in British Columbia were targeted.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a way for skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates to gain permanent residency in Canada by moving to British Columbia (BC). This program is designed to meet the labour market and economic needs of the province by attracting people who have the skills, experience, and investment potential to contribute to BC's economy.
The BC PNP has several categories, including the Skills Immigration stream, which targets workers in high-demand occupations, and the Express Entry BC stream, which is linked to the federal Express Entry system and offers a faster route to permanent residency. There's also an Entrepreneur Immigration stream for those who want to start or invest in a business in BC.
Applicants must meet specific requirements, such as having a job offer from a BC employer (in most cases), relevant work experience, and proficiency in English or French. The program uses a points-based system to rank candidates, and those with the highest scores are invited to apply. This is done using the BC PNP points calculator.
Once nominated by BC, applicants can apply to the federal government for permanent residency, making BC PNP a vital pathway to settling in Canada.
